Our Building
We have been blessed with an extraordinary facility. The sanctuary and its lower level were built in 1917 and the four-level education wing was built in 1927. It is a beautiful structure and we have been careful to preserve that beauty. Updates have been made throughout the facility to meet the growing needs of the ministry.
The main entrance for our Sunday services is located on the corner of Washington and Skinker. Our handicapped entrance is a few feet away on Skinker at the northwest corner of the building and gives access to our elevator which services the main and lower levels. Upon entering the building you will be on the main level which contains the spacious foyer with restrooms, our information center, and our beautiful sanctuary. This entrance also gives access to the lower level which contains our chapel, fellowship hall, and kitchen. The education wing can be accessed from both the main and lower levels.
During the week, the main entrance used is the southeast door at 6195 Washington Blvd. This entrance is also used on Sundays until 10:00 a.m. service time. When entering here, you are in the education wing. On the main level, you can access the sanctuary and the church administrative offices. The main level also includes restrooms, the library, conference room, nursery, health unit and classrooms.
On the lower level you can access the fellowship hall, the education office, computer center, clothing ministry and pantry, the maintenance area and classrooms. The second floor gives access to the baptistry and changing rooms, restrooms, the Community Outreach Center, Children’s Church area and classrooms. On the third floor are the Youth Center and the gymnasium.
